PCR has an agreement with “Yerevan Djur” water supplier company to meet once in two months. PCR had several meetings with representatives of “Yerevan Djur” where presented main concerns received from consumers, made several suggestions to the company on improvement of the service quality and work with consumers. At the same time “Yerevan Djur” presented its work done towards the solution of issues raised by PCR and other participant consumer organizations. The main achievement during the work with “Yerevan Djur” was the following. Currently there are 15 000 people living in Yerevan who have not set water-meters in their houses. And this was the reason that the supplier company for these families counted the price of used water based on the diameter of water pipes. PCR suggested the company to forgive the major part of these depths. For solving this problem the working group was formed where PCR had its representative. As a result, “Yerevan Djur” decided to take into account and think on this suggestion. In April 2007 “Yerevan Djur” organized a study tour to France. PCR representative was invited to participate in this tour. During the tour the Armenian delegation visited “Violia” water company working in Paris to examin how the water systems work there. From time to time Public Services Regulatory Commission initiates monitoring of public utilities services provision quality. In March Consultant of PCR participated in the monitoring of water supply of “Yerevan Djur”. |
